Prepare to Care is a three-day summer workshop for high school girls who are interested in healthcare professions and want to explore college life. Carlow University specifically designed this interactive program to give girls a hands-on experience and a rare glimpse into a field that may be perfect for them.
By offering high school girls a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about health professions from expert University faculty, nurses, and other health care specialists, girls will investigate the health care professionals by doing what they do. >>See photos and schedule from the last event
The workshop also provides the venue for girls to meet other girls like them who are excelling in the classroom, have the same interests, and the desire to lead. Built into the Prepare to Care workshop are team building and leadership exercises aimed to boost confidence so that girls can master even greater challenges as they prepare for their life beyond high school.
Open to all high school girls entering grades 9-12 interested in exploring the healthcare professions.
2010 Workshops Dates: July 20, 21, 22, 2010
