October, 2011 -- Three Carlow University students received PICPA Accounting Scholarships. This year, the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs awarded scholarships to 101 accounting students in Pennsylvania. The competition for these scholarships is intense. Candidates are judged on their intellectual capacity, leadership potential, financial need, and intent to pursue a career in accounting.
MELANIE CRIBBS — PICPA multi-year scholarship
ASHLEY MAJORSKY — PICPA Pittsburgh Chapter scholarship
KRISTYN STANG — PICPA Pittsburgh Chapter scholarship
Congratulations to Mel, Ashley, and Kristyn!
Carlow University has had a PICPA scholarship recipient every year for the last 5 years—an unbelievable accomplishment considering all the accounting programs in the state of Pennsylvania. Some of the past recipients who have graduated in recent years include Carly Burns, Nicole DeBernardi, Jackie Weibel, and Jennifer Ziemanski, among other talented, dedicated Carlow students.
