Early childhood teachers, through knowledge of developmental theory and appropriate practices, are prepared to work with children from birth through age 10. They are prepared for working and teaching in diverse settings: public and private preschool and child care, primary grades (kindergarten through 4th grade), corporate, hospital, and nonprofit centers.
