Major Courses | Minor Courses
English majors develop the ability to read critically and appreciatively, to communicate clearly and forcefully, and to conduct research with an open and analytical mind. These skills prepare them for many professions, including publishing, management, advertising, and law. Many pursue graduate study in literature or language and choose careers in teaching on the college, secondary, or elementary levels. Students with a particular interest in creative or professional writing pursue a writing major.
