Jobs are posted and students are referred as jobs become available. It is expected that 75% of the individuals will obtain or better their employment as a result of this program. This will be through direct referrals, graduate referrals and the use of our Advisory Board.
Additional Job Placement Services include:
Job Shadowing - students are offered the opportunity to observe a variety of careers on the job at a variety of locations.
Internships - paid internships which involve on-the-job training are available. These internships involve integration into the workplace and provide the best possible training. These internships often lead to permanent employment.
Field Trips to Career Centers - field trips are scheduled as needed . Trips may include visits to the Carnegie Library Career Center and Career Link.
Partnership with Pennsylvania Women Work! Pennsylvania Women Work! is a nonprofit 501c3 organization founded in 1994 as an affiliate of Women Work! the National Network for Women's Employment. Pennsylvania Women Work! promotes self-sufficiency for single parents and displaced homemakers and advocates for educational and economic equity for all women
