Carlow University has offered women's sports for many decades. Throughout the years, the university has added more teams and has won more championships.
Our women's basketball team advanced to the USCAA National Championship Tournament in 2015-'16.
In 2012, Carlow celebrated its first women's cross country team since 1996.
2016 is the first year for Carlow's golf program, currently signing both men and women players for the fall season.
In 2012, the women's soccer team captured the KIAC Championship and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament.
The softball team travels to Florida for Spring Training, competes in at least 35 competitions per season, and has post-season play opportunities in the KIAC, the USCAA, and the NAIA.
The tennis team, Carlow's second oldest athletic program, began in the 1980s and competes in at least 10 competitions per season.
The volleyball team is the longest standing athletic tradition at Carlow. The 2016 team has the goal of qualifying for the USCAA National Championship Tournament for the fifth consecutive year.
