    To search for books and videos on public and social policy in Grace Library, go to the library's home page and click on the link for library's Online Catalog. Once the online catalog window has opened, enter in one of the subject headings listed below into the Quick Search box, select subject from the drop down menu and click on the search button.     Opposing Viewpoints

    Opposing Viewpoints books cover the pros and cons of current issues such as immigration, global warming and AIDS and are often are of help to those searching for information on public policy. There are over 325 of the Opposing Viewpoints books in Grace Library and many of them are on reserve at the Circulation Desk. Ask a librarian to see these books or you can search for them in the library's Online Catalog by entering the phrase Opposing Viewpoints into the Quick Search box, selecting series from the drop down menu and clicking on the search button.

    To find citations to journal articles on public policy and related subjects, try the following databases (click here if you're off-campus):

    Academic Search Premier and OmniFile Full Text Select databases both contain the full-text of many articles, and they are available on the library's home page by clicking on the Find Articles link.  If you are not on campus you can access these databases going to the library's home page and clicking on the Off-Campus Access link located along the right side of the page.

    CQ Researcher reports are published on a weekly basis and give an in-depth examination of current issues. Each report gives a history of the issue and chronology of important events, opposing views from experts in each area and extensive bibliographies for further research.

    World News Digest
    The World News Digest brings together content to answer questions about events, issues, statistics and people of the last 20 years. Especially helpful to public policy researchers is the compilation of newspaper editorial opinion from papers throughout the U.S. It presents a political and geographic balance of opinion on hundreds of topics.
