Career Development

  • Career Services for Carlow University Alumni

The Office of Career Development provides career planning services that prepare students and alumni for successful transition from college to career or career transitioning.  We provide career advising sessions, career-related programming, job search support, and employer engagement on and off campus. Additionally, we assist alumni with career transition or job re-entry.  Contact us to schedule an appointment.

The Office of Career Development offers career advising sessions to Carlow alumni for a period of two years following graduation.

As a Carlow alum, you may schedule a maximum of three (3) personal career advising sessions within two years of your date of graduation (Sessions are 50 minutes in duration). Advising sessions may be scheduled by contacting our office at 412.578.6067. Prior to your appointment, we recommend creating an alumni account in the CARMEN system. To create or log in to your CARMEN account, visit: www.myinterfase.com/carlow/alumni

CAREER ADVISING FOR ALUMNI (MORE THAN TWO YEARS FROM GRADUATION)

PA CareerLink offers career and skill building workshops, career counseling, and job search assistance to community members.

    NETWORKING AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Alumni are encouraged to view or post job opportunities in our CARMEN career management system. Through CARMEN, you may also network with alumni career mentors (beginning spring 2014), view and apply for jobs posted specifically for Carlow students/alumni, as well as jobs posted through Indeed.com.

    LINKEDIN

Many employers recruit using the social media site, LinkedIn - and many of our alumni can be found here as well. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to create a LinkedIn account in order to begin networking and making connections with employers, fellow alumni, and professional or university groups which may be of interest to you.

    JOB FAIRS AND CAREER EVENTS

Alumni are welcome to participate in all on and off-campus career and networking events sponsored by the Office of Career Development. Upcoming events are posted in the CARMEN system and on the Career Development Facebook page.
