CCNE Accreditation 2014

  • PROVIDE FEEDBACK FOR CCNE ACCREDITATION

The School of Nursing at Carlow is currently in the midst of the re-accreditation process. As part of that process, a team of CCNE visitors will be conducting an on-site evaluation of all five of our undergraduate and graduate programs. The visitors will be on campus February 12-14, 2014.

As a member of our community of interest, we value your input in our ongoing efforts to sustain quality curricula in and to maintain the high academic standards of Carlow's School of Nursing (SON) Programs. Your feedback is one among many ongoing avenues that we utilize as part of our SON Evaluation Plan. It is valuable to us as it serves to provide us with additional means for ongoing review and continual improvement of our programs. We also utilize our membership in the American Academy of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), among others, and we are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Specifically, we are inviting you to provide comments about our programs' qualifications for reaccreditation.

If you would like to send written comments, please review the current (2013) CCNE accreditation standards [pdf] on which we will be evaluated.

    Send your written comments to:

    Catherine Sneed, MEd
    Accreditation Coordinator
    Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education

Your written comments will be accepted by CCNE until January 11, 2014 (30 days prior to our site visit). Please note that only signed comments will be accepted by CCNE and that, at no time, will these comments be shared with Carlow University or our SON faculty.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Clare Hopkins, Dean and Professor, School of Nursing at Carlow University, at 412.578.6108.
