Ready for joint admission? 

In order to join, you must complete the Carlow University application for admission. It's simple and free.

Here are the steps you need to take:

Step 1

On the Carlow website, go to the Apply Now.

Step 2

Create an account and begin your application. When selecting a program, make sure to select the RN-BSN Joint Admissions option with your current institution's name. Your "Start Term" and "Start Year" are the term and year you plan to begin the RN-BSN classes.

Step 3

Submit your application by entering your full name and date and selecting submit.

Step 4

Please submit official transcripts from any school you attended after high school.

Am I a Carlow student once I am accepted into this agreement?

Once accepted, you will be considered conditionally admitted. You will not be officially admitted to Carlow until you have graduated from CCAC with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), earned a 2.0 GPA or higher, and successfully passed the NCLEX.

What do I need to do at CCAC in order to make the transition?

The CCAC Registrar's Office must add the CarlowRN2BSN code to your record. 

CCAC students who have been admitted to the ASN program should contact Amber Reed, 412.369.4276, for joint admissions details. 

Students who are not yet admitted to the ASN program should contact their CCAC counselor for more information.

What are the benefits of being admitted to Carlow University to complete the RN-BSN degree?

You will receive a Carlow student ID with access to participate in campus activities and use Carlow resources, such as the fitness centers, library, email, printing services, and CelticOnline.

Your Carlow transfer counselor will meet with you to discuss your plan of study and review the CCAC/Carlow University Transfer Guide.

A Personal Transfer Credit Evaluation will be completed by the Carlow University Registrar's Office. 

In addition to cross registration, students in the CCAC/Carlow University Joint Admission RN-BSN program may take one additional non-nursing course at Carlow University at the CCAC tuition rate.
