Biography

Joyce K. Miketic, PhD, MBA, RN received both her PhD (2011) and BSN (1982) from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Nursing. She currently holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor in the College of Health and Wellness at Carlow University, teaching in both the MSN/NCEL and DNP Nursing Programs. Dr. Miketic’s research interests have been focused on cardiothoracic/diabetic rehabilitation efforts and caregiver stress. Joyce is the current Vice-President of PSNA District 6 and Governance Committee Chair of the Eta Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau. In addition, she is also known as a Certified Parish Nurse, actively attending to the needs of the elderly population in her community.
