I enjoy giving back to the community and offer free Friends and Family workshops to teach the community how to recognize s/s of heart attack, stroke, and how to perform CPR. Students from the Campus School of Carlow University come to the Nursing Simulation & Skills Lab as a field trip to go over what they are learning in their science classes. In addition, Gwen's Girls and Allegheny Intermediate are two after-school programs for underprivileged girls that visit the Simulation and Skills Lab each year for lessons on how math and science are used in daily life.
