4.Mental Health awareness and warning signs training to staff and faculty.
5.Health Literacy programming including topics such as stress management, substance abuse, melanoma, depression and anxiety, and know your numbers.
•Supervising Student Advocates for Student Health (SASH): student group that delivers health advocacy information to the student body via tabling and awareness events on health risk topics such as eating disorders, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stress management, substance abuse and sleep health.
•Co-chairing Healthy Campus 2020 initiative, an initiative that provides evidence-based programming to support positive health behaviors on campus.
•Developing community partnerships with local health care and higher education organizations including University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, UPMC Division of Sleep Medicine, Pittsburgh Sexual and Relationship Abuse Prevention Coalition, Pittsburgh Action Against Rape and the Consumer Health Coalition.

Biography

Born and raised in New York , graduate of Queens Hospital Center School of Nursing. Completed BSN and MSN degrees at Carlow University. Member Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Nursing background includes practice on medical oncology floor, coronary intensive care unit, and community based nursing in K-12 school setting and college health center, where she served as the Director of Health Services at Carlow University for 10 years. Currently full time faculty in the College of Health and Wellness, Department of Nursing, teaching Community Health in the BSN and RN to BSN programs.
