Biography

Maria Flavin, DNP, MSN, RN is an Associate Professor of Nursing in the College of Health and Wellness in the School of Nursing at Carlow University. In that role, she has responsibilities in both graduate and undergraduate nursing education. Dr. Flavin serves as chair for students for student scholarly projects in the doctoral nursing program. She teaches in the graduate level program as an adjunct faculty role in the Education and Leadership, Nursing Program.
Dr. Flavin is the lead faculty and coordinator for NCLEX-RN course for senior level undergraduate baccalaureate nursing students. Dr. Flavin is the course coordinator for the sophomore level undergraduate baccalaureate nursing students in Fundamentals of Nursing and Health Promotion as well as coordinating 12 faculty in the sophomore level undergraduate clinical setting. She has developed and implemented an online Medication Calculation Course for all undergraduate sophomore level nursing students.
Dr. Maria Flavin earned her DNP from Chatham University, and her MSN and BSN from the University of Pittsburgh.
