Stille named USCAA Player of the Week

Carlow forward Emma Stille was named the USCAA Women’s Basketball Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Stille, a sophomore from Columbus, Ohio, tallied 42 points and 39 rebounds in two games, for an average of 21 points and 19.5 rebounds on the week, while shooting 51.5 percent from the floor.

In the Celtics’ Dec. 5 game at Point Park, Stille scored 33 points and grabbed 22 rebounds, both career bests. She shot 73.7 percent (14-of-19) from the field in the contest.

She followed that up by leading Carlow to a 64-57 victory against USCAA opponent Alfred State on Dec. 8, with 17 rebounds and nine points.

The Celtics next play at NCAA Division II Tiffin University on Dec. 29. They return home against (RV) Indiana University Kokomo on Jan. 2.
