Carlow defender Rachel Flory was selected to the River States Conference Women’s Soccer All-Conference First Team, voted on by the league’s coaches.

Flory, a sophomore from Huntington Beach, Calif., who transferred to Carlow from Colorado Mesa University this year, played every minute of every contest. She led the Celtics to an 8-6-2 overall record and a 3-4-2 RCS record.

Flory was the leader of a back line that allowed 20 goals in 16 games. She also scored 10 goals, which tied forward Malak Shuman (SO/Monroeville, Pa.) for the most on the team, including four game-winning goals. She had one assist and regularly handled Carlow’s free kicks and corner kicks.

Flory was also Carlow’s representative on the RSC Champions of Character team.
