Mirenda named USCAA Goalkeeper of the Week

Carlow women’s soccer player Lexie Mirenda was named the USCAA Goalkeeper of the Week for her performance the week of Tuesday, Sept. 26.

Mirenda, a senior from Altoona, Pa., had one shutout and made a total of 17 saves in two matches.

She made five saves in a 2-0 win against Shaw University, and made 12 more saves in a 2-1 double overtime loss to Westminster College.

Mirenda has helped the Celtics to a 4-2 overall record and a 3-0 USCAA record so far this season. She has made a total of 26 saves and ranks No. 30 in the NAIA in goals allowed per contest (.70).

Carlow will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 28 at Cincinnati Christian University, for its first River States Conference match of the season.
