Woodley paces Celtics at Saint Vincent College Invitational

Christopher Woodley (JR/Northern Cambria, Pa.) led the Carlow men’s cross country team at the Saint Vincent College Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23. Woodley finished 26th of 59 runners, with a time of 30:42.78, in the 8K race.

The Celtics averaged a 34:31.18 time, scored 161 points and finished sixth out of seven teams, amongst NCAA Division III competition. Saint Vincent took the team title, with a score of 19 and an average time of 28:01.76. Will Greene, of Saint Vincent, was the individual winner, in a time of 27:39.68.

Jeffrey Amorose (SO/Pittsburgh, Pa.) was 33rd, in 31:34.67. Joseph Palmieri (FR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) ran 34:55.11, Matthew Cannon (FR/Monongahela, Pa.) 36.26.11, and Chandler Stockwell (JR/Richland, Mich.) 38:57.23.

The Celtics next run at the Chatham University Invitational on Sept. 30.
