Celtics fall to Pikeville in men's soccer

The Carlow men’s soccer team fell, 3-0, to the University of Pikeville, on Friday, Sept. 15, at Highmark Stadium.

Max Isenberg scored Pikeville’s first goal in the 19th minute, and Anibal Navarro scored the second off a misplayed ball by the Carlow defense in the 39th minute. The final goal came with five minutes remaining, when Harry Hill scored on a free kick.

Nai Mayen (SR/Syracuse, N.Y.) earned three shots on goal, and Dan Nicolaus (SR/Gainesville, Fla.) and Zack Taylor (SR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) earned one apiece.

Eddie Scott (FR/North Huntingdon, Pa.) made six saves in goal.

The Celtics are back in action Sept. 18, at Bluefield (Va.) College. They return home Sept. 21 against Shaw (N.C.) University.
