Biography

Officer James Madison began his Law Enforcement career in the U.S. Military (Army) as a Military Police Officer, obtaining the rank of Master Sergeant, Sr. Military Policeman, (MPI) Military Police Investigator, Military Police Desk Sergeant, Provost Marshals Department Leader for A.W.O.L. Apprehension and Civil Warrants, Military Supply Sergeant and Nuclear Biological and Chemical Warfare and Explosive Specialist. Attended Advance Leader Course ALC and Senior Leader Course SLC. While in the Military served in the both Gulf Wars as a Platoon Sergeant, and has a total of 23 years’ service in the military.

Officer Madison also worked for the Pittsburgh Housing Authority Police Department, as a Police Officer, Patrol Supervisor, and Narcotics Detective, Major Crimes Investigator and Fraud Investigator, Police Corporal with the Homestead Police Department, Police Sergeant Chatham University Police Department and was the Director of Security and Manager on Duty MOD with the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel. Officer Madison has over 30 plus years in Law Enforcement and Security experience, and is a certified instructor through the Allegheny County Police Academy. Also Officer Madison is certified Taser Instructor, PPCT S.H.A.R.P.S. Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention, PPCT Defense Tactics/ASP Instructor, OCAT OC Instructor, C.R.A.S.E Civilian Response Active Shooter Event Instructor, S.A.F.E. Secure Alert Fight Evacuate Instructor, UPMC Western Psychiatric Institute Comprehensive Crisis Management Instructor CCM, and American Red Cross CPR/AED First Aid Certified Instructor.

Officer Madison has Lifesaving Awards from the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police/American Police Hall of Fame, Commendations from the Pittsburgh Police, Pittsburgh Housing Authority Police, Chatham University and the U.S. Military.
