Biography

Dr. Terri Collin Dilmore is an Assistant Professor in Carlow University's Department of Psychology and Counseling. She received an Honors BSc in Psychology from Trent University, Canada in 2001. In 2005 she received a PhD in Medical Science at the University of Calgary, Canada, with expertise in test construction and psychometric analysis. In August 2016, Dr. Dilmore graduated with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University. She also completed a pre-doctoral internship at Howard University Counseling Center and with the DC Superior Court, Juvenile Section, in Washington, DC. Dr. Dilmore has over a decade of teaching experience at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Research Interests

Dr. Dilmore also works in a clinical psychology practice, with focus in the areas of forensic and intellectual assessment, juvenile delinquency assessment, and individual and group psychotherapy. Her teaching is focused in the areas of personality, psychological assessment, and research design and statistics. Her current research interests include the transmission of trauma and its impact on mental health and offense behavior, particularly within marginalized communities.
