Two Carlow soccer players were honored by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Alexa Mermigas (JR/Wexford, Pa.) and Maura Bevan (JR/Pittsburgh, Pa.) represented the Celtics on the list.
Goshen (Ind.) leads all programs with 14 individuals on the list. In total, 578 women’s soccer student-athletes received the award.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
