Three volleyball players earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete award

Three Carlow volleyball players were honored by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Kristina Hudock (JR/Uniontown, Pa.), Mia Marmion (JR/Upper St. Clair, Pa.) and Sabrina Morosky (JR/Greensburg, Pa.) represented the Celtics on the list. All three also earned USCAA Academic All-American honors.

Midland (Neb.) leads all institutions with 10 individuals on the list. In total, 481 student-athletes from 152 institutions were named to the list.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
