The Carlow men’s basketball team won its second straight game Monday, December 5, in Vienna, W.Va. The Celtics put away NCAA Division II Ohio Valley University, 78-61, two days after their first win against Rio Grande.
Carlow (2-9/1-1 RSC) took the lead early and never gave it up, leading 42-29 at halftime.
Charlie Scharbo (JR/Jefferson Hills, Pa.) led the Celtics with 18 points and nine rebounds. PJ McLaughlin (SR/Irwin, Pa.) scored 11 points and blocked four shots, Jacob St. George (SO/Monaca, Pa.) dished seven assists with his eight points, and Zach Bryan (JR/Irwin, Pa.) had four steals and four assists with nine points.
Carlow shot 46.9 percent from the field, while holding the Fighting Scots (0-6) to 31.3 percent shooting.
Ohio Valley was led by Alex Djordjevic, with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
Next up for Carlow is River States Conference foe and crosstown rival Point Park University on Monday, December 12.
