Lock Haven puts away Celtics in second half

The Carlow men’s basketball team could not keep up with NCAA Division II Lock Haven University in the second half Tuesday, November 22. The Celtics trailed just 38-31 at the break, but dropped the contest, 91-70.

Much of the damage was done by Cole Renninger, who had nearly a triple-double, with 14 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, and Amir Hinton, who had 27 points.

The Bald Eagles (4-1) also forced Carlow into 30 turnovers, which they turned into 30 points, and made 15 steals.

PJ McLaughlin (SR/) paced Carlow with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Charlie Scharbo (JR/Jefferson Hills, Pa.) added 11 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks.

The Celtics next travel to Seton Hill on Wednesday, November 30.
