Five Carlow University volleyball players were awarded with USCAA Academic All-American honors including junior Kristina Hudock, who was also named a Second-Team All-American.
Hudock, a native of Uniontown, Pa., led the Celtics in aces, with 90, and kills, with 372. She was also named to three all-tournament teams this season.
Carlow’s other Academic All-Americans were Michaela Koran (SO/North Olmsted, Ohio), Mia Marmion (JR/Upper St. Clair, Pa.), Sabrina Morosky (JR/Greensburg, Pa.) and Mandy Toman (SO/Beulah, Colo.). To qualify for this award, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and a minimum sophomore standing.
Koran leads Carlow with 872 assists and Marmion is the team leader in digs, with 485.
The players were honored at the USCAA National Championship Tournament banquet on Thursday, November 10.
The Celtics (13-25/9-7 USCAA) qualified for this tournament for the fifth straight year. They went 2-1 in pool play on Thursday, and will play again Friday, against Illinois Tech.
