CCU tops Celtics in four

The Cincinnati Christian University volleyball team topped Carlow in four sets on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Point Park University.

The Celtics won the first set and kept it close in the second, but the Eagles posted a .417 and a .471 hitting percentage in the final two sets to seal the win. CCU (10-7) earned the victory, 3-1 (27-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-14).

Kristina Hudock (JR/Uniontown, PA) had 13 kills for Carlow. Hannah Kaminski (JR/Wexford, PA) and Mia Marmion (JR/Upper St. Clair, PA) had 15 digs apiece. Kassidy Dickson (SO/Cochranton, PA) had nine assists and 2.5 blocks, while Michaela Koran (SO/North Olmsted, OH) had nine assists.

Lindsey Clements led CCU with 11 kills, Kayla Weber had 15 digs and Ellie Abel had 33 assists.

The Celtics (8-20/2-8/6-6) next host Point Park on Tuesday, Oct. 18.
