
The Carlow University women’s team dropped a River States Conference match to Ohio Christian, 3-1, on Thursday, Oct. 13, at Highmark Stadium.
Lexi Paas, who finished the match with a goal and an assist, scored in the seventh minute on an assist by Kaylah Peele, and the Trailblazers took a 1-0 lead to halftime.
The Celtics (4-6-2/3-2/0-1) tied the contest in the 60th minute, on a goal by Emily Hardek (SO/Allison Park, PA), off the rebound of a corner kick.
But OCU’s Rachel Bingaman scored the game-winner just three minutes later and Brooke White added an insurance goal in the 72nd minute, assisted by Paas.
Lexie Mirenda (JR/Altoona, PA) made 10 saves for Carlow, and Mekayla Deffenbaugh made four saves for OCU.
The Celtics next travel to the University of Rio Grande, on Saturday, Oct. 15.
