Storm shuts out Celtics in women’s socer

Lake Erie College shut out the Carlow University women’s soccer team, 3-0, on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Highmark Stadium.

The Storm (3-0) jumped to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Elizabeth Awuah in the 20th minute. They added back-to-back insurance goals by Holland Erb and Kynslie Murphy late in the second half.

Marissa Brannon earned the shutout in goal for Lake Erie. Bailey Klems (SO/Lower Burrell, PA) was in goal for Carlow, and made seven saves.

The Celtics (0-3/0-0/0-1) have their first road match, at Geneva College, on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
