Carlow cruises past Villa Maria for first win

Eight Celtics scored and the Carlow University women’s soccer team cruised past Villa Maria, 11-0, on Saturday, Sept. 24, for its first win of the season.

Cayla Imbarlina (JR/North Huntingdon, PA) and Bailey Klems (SO/Lower Burrell, PA) each spent a half in goal to combine for the shutout.

Malak Shuman (FR/Monroeville, PA), Lexie Houk (FR/Racine, PA) and Emily Emge (SO/Beaver Falls, PA) scored two goals apiece. Kristina Wallace (SO/Jeannette, PA), Stacey Sikora (JR/Vandergrift, PA), Abby Wilczynski (SO/Erie, PA), MK Bair (Hermitage, PA) and Maura Bevan (JR/Pittsburgh, PA) each scored a goal.

The Celtics (1-4-1/0-0/0-1) travel to Chatham on Monday, Sept. 26 for their last match before River States Conference play begins.
