Carlow volleyball team drops two RSC matches

The Carlow University volleyball team lost a pair of River States Conference matches in a quad match on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the University of Rio Grande. The Celtics fell to Rio Grande, 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-15), and WVU Tech, 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-20).

It was Carlow’s first matchup with the RedStorm this season. The teams play again, at Carlow, on Tuesday. Carlow defeated the Golden Bears, 3-2 (25-16, 13-25, 25-19, 18-25, 15-13) on Sept. 27, at Carlow.

In the match of the day against Rio Grande, Bri Hoodlebrink (FR/Pemberville, OH) and Elizabeth Stadelman (JR/Pittsburgh, PA) recorded five kills apiece for Carlow. Stadelman also made two blocks. Michaela Koran (SO/North Olmsted, OH) had 14 assists and Mia Marmion (JR/Upper St. Clair, PA) had 11 digs.

Against WVU Tech, Kristina Hudock (JR/Uniontown, PA) had nine kills, 11 digs and two aces. Koran had another 17 assists.
