The Carlow University men’s cross country team finished eighth in an 11-team meet at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational, on Saturday, Oct. 8.
CMU won the meet, scoring 15, and Duquesne was the runner-up, scoring 60. Other notable competitors were Seton Hill and River States Conference rival Point Park. Carlow scored 218 in the 8K race.
Chris Woodley led Carlow with a time of 29:37.9 to finish 29th overall. Carlow’s top five was completed by Jeff Amorose (38th, in 31:35.9), Tim Richardson (47th, in 34:54.0), Chris Taylor (49th, in 36:31.0) and Tyler Trombley (55th, in 39:15.6).
Caleb Muller, running independently of any team, was the race winner with a time of 26:37.9. Josh Kalapos, of CMU, was the runner-up, in 26:48.7.
The Celtics next run at the Lock Haven University Go Fast River Run on Saturday, Oct. 29.
