Don’t forget - Homecoming is this weekend! Join Carlow alumni for fun on campus all weekend.
On Friday, October 7, Carlow Activities Board (CAB) will sponsor "Selfies with Shammy" on the Kresge Porch, University Commons (don’t forget to use #carlowcomeshome when you share your photos) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Later that evening, celebrate the achievements of Carlow’s alumni athletes at the 14th Annual Athletic Walk of Fame at 6:45 p.m. at St. Joe's.
On Saturday, October 8, a DJ will be on the Green from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday playing your favorite music. Join us for free donuts and Powderpuff Football at 10:00 a.m. Be sure to wear your Carlow gear to cheer on the teams! Get your friends together for the Ham it Up Photo Booth, which will also be on campus from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the fifth floor of the University Commons.
All are invited to join alumni on the first floor of the University Commons on Saturday for a very special service project, where we will assemble “I Care Kits” for homeless veterans from 10:00 a.m. to noon. We encourage you to participate – come for 15 minutes or the full two hours.
Carlow faculty will host two seminars on Saturday. The first entitled “Carlow and the Civil Rights : Then and Now” features presenters Linda Schifino, PhD, Michael Balmert, PhD, William Schweers, Esq. and students/alumni from recent Civil Rights tours. Join us from 10:15 - 11:45 a.m. on the second floor of the University Commons for this thought-provoking discussion of civil rights – as urgent an issue today as it was in the 1960s. The second seminar focuses on "Progress in Healthcare” with presenter Deborah L. Mitchum, DNP, ANP-BC. It will take place from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. on the second floor of the University Commons.
Finally, on Sunday, October 9, all are invited to celebrate mass with the alumni to conclude Homecoming weekend. Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. in Convent Chapel.
