Celtics improve by 59 strokes in second men’s golf outing

The Carlow University men’s golf team showed great improvement in their second outing, at the Penn State New Kensington Invitational, on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The Celtics shot 363 as a team to finish fifth out of five teams on the par-72, 6,353-yard course at the Links at Spring Church.

“The men's team had a 59 stroke improvement from the Grove City Invitational,” Carlow head coach Ryan Shank said. “I’m very proud of the way they represented themselves and Carlow University.”

Jake St. George had the lowest score for the Celtics, posting an 83 to tie for seventh. Nate Bell shot 86 to tie for ninth.

The Celtics next compete against St. Vincent College on Saturday, Sept. 24.
