Woodley, Wargo and Amorose take top 3 spots at Franciscan Invitational

The Carlow University men’s cross country team swept the top three individual spots and finished second out of four teams in the Franciscan Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Chris Woodley (SO/Northern Cambria, PA) was the individual champion in the 8k race, with a time of 30:49.48. Blake Wargo (SO/Milton, PA) finished second, in 31:59.66, and Jeff Amorose (FR/Pittsburgh, PA) was third, in 32:25.51.

The Celtics finished with a team score of 39, behind Franciscan, with 30. La Roche took third place, with 63, and St. Aloysius was fourth, with 110.

The Celtics next run at the Carnegie Mellon University Invitational, on Saturday, Oct. 8.
