IU East defeats Carlow in volleyball

The Carlow University volleyball team dropped a River States Conference match to Indiana University East on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The Red Wolves defeated the Celtics, 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-18), at St. Joseph Hall.
Outside hitter Bri Hoodlebrink (FR/Pemberville, OH) had a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs, to lead the Celtics in both categories. Hoodlebrink posted a .471 hitting percentage, with just two errors on 17 attempts.

Kristina Hudock (JR/Uniontown, PA) had six serving aces.

IU East was paced by setter Abbey Ketchem (SO/Indianapolis, IN). She had 23 assists on 44 attempts, with no errors. She also had six kills on seven attacks, for an .857 hitting percentage, and added five digs.

The Celtics (4-11/0-2/3-3) travel to crosstown rival Point Park on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 7pm.
